I am thinking about getting the green mirrored speed socket goggles by Speedo. I was wondering if they would be too dark for indoor swimming, and any other general reviews, good or bad, about the speed sockets themselves. Thanks!
i am swimming in the la jolla rough water swim in 2 weeks. last year my goggles fogged up and i could hardly see anything the whole swim. i want to find the best google for open water that will not fog up.
so at my school were starting swimming for pe, but i wear soft contact lenses.
will i be fine if i swim with goggles on, like my contact lenses wont fall out or anything?
and if goggles dont work what else do you suggest (like just taking contacts off)?
thanks
ive been swimming competitively for a few years now and i just noticed i have these goggle marks under my eyes. its not a rash and its not red it looks like bags under my eyes but they are not puffy it just looks like i havent been sleeping well or i didnt get enough sleep. some of my friends at school even say i look tired everyday. its bothering me now and i dont know how to get rid of it. my goggles arent tight and i dont want to change my goggles (womens vanquisher) is there something i can do besides putting cold water over the eyes?
i usually weasr conceler under my eyes, it helps a little bit but not a lot people still think i look tired (i get enough sleep like at least 8 hrs.
I’m wearing a contact in my right eye, which i just got today. If I wear them while swimming (for one and a half hours), will I have any problems? Should I take them out? At least a few times during each swim my goggles will leak a little and some water will get into my eyes, like during diving.
I just bought new goggles and they fog up badly every lap. I tryed spit and that doesn’t work. I’m use to just swimming bared eyed but I thought goggles would be better for my eyes.
Very hard to see? I see much better top water with just my eyes. Anyway any suggestiongs swimmers?
I am going to Hawaii and we are going scuba diving. My parents say i should not wear them because it might damage it. But i dont know if i could see the fishes. So i thought cant you wear your glasses in the water? Or wear your glasses in the water with your goggles on. Please help I am near sighted and 300 for perscription my glasses are transition.
I’m not a serious swimmer, but I get annoyed when I swim and my goggles fog up. I usually just dip my goggles in the water and that fixes it for about 5 minutes, but then while I’m having fun, i have to pause, take my goggles off, then dip’em in the water. I don’t have any anti fog oil or spray. Im looking for something quick that i can use that will really prevent the fog.
I’m 18 and I haven’t started learning swimming until just a year ago. One problem I’m currently having while swimming is the difficulty of dunking my head underwater without goggles. Opening my eyes underwater isn’t too hard, but when I do everything looks blurry, which isn’t the case when I have goggles on. And worst of all is after I rise up again, I find it very difficult to open my eyes. I have to rub off the water around it and wait a while before I could open them comfortably. What suggestions would you give for someone in my situation? Is more practice and experience in the water all I need to overcome this problem? Or is there something specific I should be doing?
Thanks.
I know many people swim without goggles, so it can’t possibly be that hard.
I wear contact lens and I want to start swimming again so I would like to purchase some dependable goggles.
Also, how much would they cost?
