Is it weird that my vision seems to get worse every year?

I got glasses in first grade. I got prescription goggles for swimming this year and one time they fell off and I could barely see anything. everything was in a blur but I could still see the color. I have to get stronger glasses piratically every year. Is that weird or natural?

Are you allow to wear glasses inside goggles for swimming? Is it ok if my glasses get went?

I am going to Hawaii and we are going scuba diving. My parents say i should not wear them because it might damage it. But i dont know if i could see the fishes. So i thought cant you wear your glasses in the water? Or wear your glasses in the water with your goggles on. Please help I am near sighted and 300 for perscription my glasses are transition.

Do you guys wear your glasses when you are swimming?

When I was swimming with my friend. I noticed that many people just wear their glasses while swimming in the pool and it got me thinking. Shouldn’t they take it off instead? It would bother them while they are swimming plus you can get those kind of goggles where it is like a glasses so you can see while swimming. For me, I can still see even though I take mine off (20/250-300) and swimming with a regular goggle on.

I’m thinking about joining my high school swim team and I was wondering if they usually let you wear your own goggles? I have to wear glasses all the time so I want to wear my optical goggles. For you people with more experience, is this something that would be allowed?

Perfect vision underwater with swimming goggles?

I’m 19 and have been wearing glasses since I was 5. I’m am EXTREMELY nearsighted, and can’t even see my own hand clearly when it’s 3 inches in front of my face. Any closer, it gets clearer but I have to go cross-eyed.

Anyways, my question is regarding a strange incident that happened to me a few years ago while I was in a swimming pool.

I don’t swim much, but when I do, I still wear my glasses. I had some swimming goggles – nothing too fancy, just some regular goggles you can find at any sports store – and I decided to put them on without my glasses. I was above water, and I couldn’t see for crap, but once I got underwater I could see PERFECTLY!

I was freaked out. I mean I have had to wear glasses that resemble the base of a glass bottle, and yet when I put on simple swimming goggles and go underwater in a pool, I see perfect 20/20.

So, what is happening? Is it the water? The glasses?
