swimming goggles?

I signed up for recreation center visits and then got sick and haven’t gone yet.

I want to identify some goggles that work pretty well so I can wear contacts when I swim.

Does anyone know any good ones that work well?

Just go out and buy a pair of name-brand goggles. It really comes down to personal preferrence and the shape of your face. One person’s favorite is another person’s nightmare. The cheapest pair that Speedo or TYR works great for me.

I swim with contacts also, but I use daily wear when I swim. My optomitrist said her primary concern is a microscopic fungus often in water — and chlorine does nothing to prevent it. If you have hard lenses, there is no problem swimming because the fungus won’t be absorbed into the lens.

honestly, don’t wear your contacts. swimming with them in will damage your eyes. get some goggles from your optician with your prescription in.

I swim with my contacts in everyday and use the Speedo Vanquisher goggles. They are readily available at most sports stores or major department stores (Wal-Mart, Target).

The reason it is recommended that you don’t swim with your contacts in is they may get infected should the chlorine levels not be good or they may float out in the water. Goggles have resolved those issues for me and I’ve been swimming for 7 years with contacts and goggles.
