PRESCRIPTION SWIMMING GOGGLES?!!!!!!?

Is it true that when you order prescription swimming goggles, its better to get a lower prescription because the water magnifies your seeing?
*Plus, what kind of prescription goggles are the best for competitive swim racing?*

Prescription goggles? Really? Unless you’re leagally blind, and there are swimmers who compete very well with this impediment, you really don’t need them. What exactly are you trying to see in the pool anyway? The big black line a the bottom won’t be any more interesting, nor will the cross at the end of the pool be any more pretty. :)

I suggest that you just get normal goggles (at a greatly reduced price), but if you do have sight issues, i’m sure an opthamologist can point you in the best direction.

yes, you should get a lower prescription. proof? when its really sunny outside, and you go in the water, you have a better chance of getting burned/tanned cus the water magnifies the sun, which makes it faster to give you a tan/burn. and get speedo goggles, the clear kinds, so you can see clearly. and good luck!
